Francesca Cardone

Born in Italy, she began her studies at the age of six and graduated with highest honours at the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence.

 

The pianistic repertoire from Francesca Cardone covers a wide range of pieces, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. It includes solo pieces as well as chamber music and works for piano and orchestra. As a winner of the International Liszt Competition in Lucca (Italy) Francesca Cardone 

has devoted particular attention to the work of creating Liszt.

 

As a member of the Cultural Institute "Società Dante Alighieri", Salzburg has become over the years their interest in cross-art forms - literature combining music in particular - increased. Francesca Cardone musical interest extends across different styles and different occupations. Through her work as a teacher and accompanist - in the past at the American International School Salzburg, and currently at the Pedagogical

University in Salzburg - it has dealt with a variety of styles, from film music, pop, musicals to jazz.

Her last CD production "MOZART AND TRADITION" followed the same concept by Austrian and Italian music and poetry from Mozart's time are presented in the cultural field of tension between the two countries. Isabel Karajan and Peter Simonischek are the charismatic performers of literary content. She recently participated in the prestigious "Festival of Nations" in Città di Castello (Italy), where she achieved with great success as audiences both with critics.Recently she has performed in the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua as part of a chamber music concert with Florian Zwiauer and Herbert Müller, concertmaster and first viola with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, as well as other musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Volksoper Orchestra.
